Ladies and Gentlemen!
Our Company has its roots in the long traditions of the butcher's trade which developed in Pszczyna as early as the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. It was then, in 1897 that a municipal abattoir was founded on the site where ZPM Henryk Kania S.A. now operates. The first abattoir worked successfully until the 1950s. Later a small meat processing plant was built next to it and some of its buildings still exist today. It is, however, a matter of the distant past. Today we have the pleasure of introducing to you the company situated on the same site and operating as a modern family business.
The present times began for the plant in 1990, when its founder and present owner, Henryk Kania, started the production of cured meat and sausages on the level of 3 T per 24 hours. A few years later the area of the neighbouring meat processing plant was taken over, which made it possible to increase the production capacity. But the real, dynamic development of the company took place in the mid-1990s. It was then that a number of investments increased the production capacity to 80 - 100 T per 24 hours. It was possible owing to purchases of state-of-the-art equipment and process lines. In the following years more investments were made in new machinery allowing intense development of production organization and sale of products satisfying the market requirements. At present Zakłady Przetwórstwa Mięsnego - Henryk Kania (Henryk Kania Meat Processing Plant) has an export licence and meets the EU qualitative requirements. Among our customers are the biggest chain stores, wholesalers and several dozen local shops.
Owing to the specialization and standardization of production and securing the company's own, reliable sources of raw ingredients, a product range was developed which meets the requirements of even the most demanding customers. And this is the company's mission: to offer products with traditional taste, manufactured in conditions which guarantee the highest safety standards.
